Club Advisor

Nicholas Damask received his MA in International Relations from The American University in Washington DC and his BA and PhD in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati, where he concentrated in American Political Thought and Terrorism and Political Violence. His doctoral dissertation was on the subject of contemporary terrorism and drug trafficking. He was a Salvatori Fellow at The Heritage Foundation, Washington DC.

Dr. Damask has published numerous articles in academic journals, as well as in The Washington Times, World & I magazine, and local newspapers. He has taught Political Science at Scottsdale Community College for the last 28 years, where he currently teaches American National Government, World Politics, Political Ideologies, and the US and Arizona Constitutions.

Dr. Damask has been involved in Republican politics and conservative activism since high school. He has participated in many college-level formal public debates, has given numerous public lectures and has conducted educational seminars over many years on politics and current affairs to Republican & conservative clubs in Arizona. His academic and political interests focus on free speech, social unrest, and low-intensity political violence.

Dr. Damask won a critical victory defending free speech and academic freedom against Islamic fundamentalism in the case Sabra/CAIR v. MCCCD/Damask, decided in Dr. Damask's favor at the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in 2022.
